Anois (the Celtic word for "now") is a Dutch band making poetic Celtic music. Anois was founded at the end of 1996 and is based around the vocals & compositions of lead singer Veronica Metz. Sources of inspiration were Deanta, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Clannad and the world created by J.R.R. Tolkien. To learn more about the author J.R.R. Tolkien and his wonderful work click here.

In 1997 and 1999 we released demo’s which resulted in a number of live performances, airplay, local TV and even interest from two record company's and a well known producer.

Unfortunately, at that time sound technician and key member Ignace Dhont was struck down by a serious ear disease, which led to a period of about three years of relative inactivity. Upon recovering, the decision was made to built a record studio of our own and start recording what will be our debut CD. What we would love most is to come out with our J.R.R. Tolkien related songs but that is not in our own hands due to copyright issues. So sorry, at this moment we do not have any material for sale!
